Sandy...

Sandy devastated NYC and environs, and our hearts go out to those who have had to live through such a terrible time.  More and more information is surfacing about how much damage has been done and lives have been lost, and it is heartbreaking. 

The Upper East Side was somehow a haven from the storm, although we definitely felt and saw it.  At one point we saw floodwaters rushing down First Avenue in our directions, but the water receded as the night wore on and the tides went down.

You'll see in the video when the worst of Sandy hit the Upper East Side... it's on the 12th floor of a 24-story tower and the wind was whipping it - we could feel and see the force of the hurricane.  I was breaking out in cold sweats, Sebastien kept saying he felt like we were in a boat...
